Kerry Parker, CAE

After holding membership marketing positions at two national non-profit associations, Kerry joined Holland-Parlette Associates, Inc. (HPA) in 1989 and has enjoyed a 22-year career with the firm. In 1990 she was named partner, and in 1991 she became a Certified Association Executive (CAE), a credential awarded by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In 2005, ASAE awarded Kerry with lifetime membership. A graduate of the University of Iowa (1982) and Iowa State University (1985), Kerry holds a Bachelor of Science, Journalism and a Masters in Public Administration.

Holding his first Executive Director title at age 22, Kent spent the next 20 years serving as Executive Director for 10 different regional, state, national and international associations. He joined HPA in 1996 and over the years has authored several articles in meeting industry publications while becoming an expert in hotel contract negotiations.
Kent obtained the designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in 1997 and is a graduate Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Political Science from Bucknell University. He is a current member of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
